Welcome to BGSU EDTL 202! This site will be our opportunity to answer questions that weren't covered in class and extend our discussions. I will enter new content each week after class where I will respond to your questions / reflections on that week's class content. Each of you will be expected to check this site once each week and participate in the discussion or at least acknowledge you've read my responses to the reflection questions. You are welcome to add additional comments/questions and discuss back and forth with your classmates as well as me.

i agree that an effective middle school has curruculum that is relevant, challenging, integrative, and explatory. i think it is important to have integrative material because if the students dont think they will need it in life then they wont want to learn it. it is important to have challenging material because you dont want to make your students bored because then they wont pay attention and they will act out. relevant material is also important because students need to be able to relate to the information they learn at school because they will be more willing to learn. explatory experiences are good because it will lead to more well rounded students.
